The United States Navy • Hawaii Mars first flight in nearly a decade; final flight next week.

In preparation for its final ferry flight, the Hawaii Mars took to the air yesterday for a test flight from Sprout Lake, BC.

The Martin Mars flying boat has been out of fire fighting service for a decade or more.  Next weekend it will fly to Victoria to become a museum exhibit.  Their other Mars, the Philippine Mars, will be donated to Pima.  I do not know how/when it will be transported there.
