A grieving Las Vegas mother has been left 'dumbfounded and in shock' after four bullies who were caught on camera beating her son to death accepted plea deals.
Melissa Ready lost her son Jonathan Lewis, 17, after he was attacked by a group of teens and stomped to the point of unconsciousness, before dying a week later.
Dontral Beaver, 16, Damian Hernandez, 18, Treavion Randolph, 16, and Gianni Robinson all stood accused of his murder after being charged as adults in January.
On Thursday, it was announced that they all accepted a plea deal that will allow them to plead guilty as juveniles to manslaughter.
That case would take place in a juvenile court, with the four facing an undetermined length of imprisonment in a juvenile detention center.
Yep they stomped the boy to death and get a slap on the wrist. For those that don't like the Second Amendment let me relate a personal event. I was in my mid 20's just out of the Marines and freshly married. I was still in the habit of exercising and would run 7 miles after work. One night after going about 5 of the 7 a car with 4 young men a lot like these pulled over. They got out with an assortment of Ball Bats and Tire Irons. They were screaming where you running to white boy. I happened to be carrying a very inexpensive Rossi .38 5 shot revolver that I had purchased for my wife. I drew the weapon held it down to my side and looked at them. They at that point lost interest in where this white boy was running and returned to their vehicle and left. I then holstered and continued my run. That is an example of how most guns are used in self defense , they are not fired.
