In what appears to be yet another one of his senile senior moments (or one of his usual outrageous lies), Trump claimed Willie Brown once rode in his helicopter, which had to make an emergency landing and nearly crashed, and all the while Willie was trash-talking his former squeeze Kamala Harris, woth whom he had a notorious but brief relationship with in the 1990s..
Except this flight does not appear to have ever happened, and (despite their obviously dissimilar appearance) Trump seems to have mixed up Willie Brown (long-time California Assembly Speaker and two-term Mayor of San Francisco) with Jerry Brown (four-term former California governor) who was on a helicopter flight with Trump in 2018 while surveying California wildfire damage. Then Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom was also on board that flight, and says there was no emergency, and the topic of Harris never came up in discussion. Another possibility is Trump mixed up Willie Brown with another black California politician, former State Senator Pat Holden, who says he was on a helicopter flight with Trump back in 1990 that did make an emergency landing. Guess they all look alike to him.
Willie Brown claims he was never on any helicopter flight with Trump, never discussed Harris with him, and is threatening to sue for libel.
