Battleship Vs Battleship • Kriegsmarine Air Warning Radar

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere and I just missed it.

Most of the literature I can find on WW2 German Naval radar emphasizes its use against surface vessels, detecting, tracking and fire control. But I haven’t come across much relating to the abilities of WW2 German Naval radar in regards to aircraft. I understand Prinz Eugen had a, possibly experimental, height finding array fitted that was removed in 1943. But I know nothing of its abilities or when it was added to the ship.

Does anyone know more about this? Did the Germans have an air warning radar set I don’t know about? Or could the FuMo radars used for surface tracking be used for air warning as well? Did the Germans ever have or contemplate radar control for AA fire?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
