The Contra Costa County Library in Antioch, California, announced in a Friday statement that it would close its doors for the time being as it works to increase security measures after a rising crime has threatened the safety of staff and patrons.
“The Contra Costa County Library has made this difficult decision after repeated dangerous incidents in the last few months that have threatened the safety and security of patrons and staff,” a statement reads. “During the closure, the Library will be working to implement further security measures so we can reopen as soon as possible.”
Another sign of a dying society.
