The Politics Of War • Very unpopular subject, and I'm sure it will go as I expect...but...

I took the time to actually watch the entire 2 hour Putin / Tucker Carlson interview. I learned a lot.

For my entire life the USSR was bad and evil (they were). But after the SU fell , in its place a pseudo capitalist society has thrived.

All I knew about Putin was that he was the anti-Christ, along with of course Trump. All we get about Russia and its leader are from our HEAVILY biased MSM and politicians.
I wanted to hear it directly from him, why he invaded Ukraine.
A few takeaways.....
He has his reasons for the war, he thinks which are justified.
He is not a manically crazy despot, he is cunning, shrewd and VERY intelligent.
He is in contrast to our leader, in control of his faculties.
There is a big Neo-Nazi situation in Ukraine.
He asked ot join NATO and Bill Clinton told him no.
He asked ot help with the ABM defense shield and George Bush the Younger told him no.
There was a coup in Ukraine in 2014 ( i knew nothing about this).
The war has actually boosted their trade with China and they are doing good economically since the dollar has been downgraded due to the US "sanctions".
When asked if he has spoken to Biden about the war, he said he hasn't because Bidens not in charge.
Kamala Harris promising Ukraine NATO membership after snubbing Russia was the biggest reason he went in, he didn't want NATO missiles on his borders (ala Cuban missile crisis).

Before we throw aspersions and say he invaded a country for no apparent reason, didn't we also do the same in Afghanistan and Iraq (second time)?

11 Years in Afghanistan to eliminate the Taliban and after trillions of dollars and hundreds of lives and thousands of maimed solders, we hand it back to the Taliban?

Russia is always been the United States boogie man, we must always be worried about them and its leaders are evil....according to the people in charge and with a LOT to gain from it......yes I'm talking to you Lyndsey Graham you fucking idiot...

Again, all I'm asking is that if anyone else watched the ENTIRE interview and if not would you?

As I have gotten older I have just came to terms with the fact the US and its "intelligence agencies" aren't always on the side of good....sometimes we have ulterior motives for its defense positions. And they are usually $$$ based.

I'm allowed to LOVE my country, embrace my flag and defend her from evil, but I'm also allowed and I should be encouraged to, not trust its Government or its leaders.

That's where I am now I guess....
