I can see why the court decided to drop these both on the same day (only the measure on the ballot was under any deadline). But the combination of a six week ban and de facto allowing a vote on said ban next November is going to hurt Republicans. Florida is sufficiently red that I do not think this endangers this at the presidential level, but I think state seats will have more problems and potentially Rick Scot might face a stronger challenge. He won by about half a point in 2018 - Florida has gotten more red since then certainly, but also these abortion referendums tend to drag out people who otherwise might not vote and Scott will have to take a hardline position on the topic.
