When they say "big", they mean big...as in an increase for some of them to $180,000 & possibly up to a maximum of $360,000 over their career.
Not sure what the current payscales are, but that's significant money, I would imagine something like double (or even triple) their normal annual pay.
Which I would surmise means that a) there's a huge need for those jobs, but b) those currently in the jobs are feeling super overworked for the pay they're getting & don't want to reenlist.
