Here is an image of A and B turret of the battleship MUTSU taken in 1925 from a Japanese magazine. What is interesting is the rangefinder on top of the turrets had much larger size optical port on the starboard side vs. the port side. I have always assumed that they were of equal size. Anyone know of the reason for this discrepency in size? My understanding is these were 8m Barr & Stroud duplex rangefinders.
